Eklo's commitments: short supply chains

Eklo is a group of hybrid hotels that are economical and ecological, responsible and inexpensive. From the designing of our first establishment, we chose to engage in a resolutely ecological, societal and solidarity-based approach. On a daily basis, this is also reflected in our choice of suppliers.

Reducing our ecological footprint

Our objective is twofold: to shrink our carbon footprint by avoiding products that come from the ends of the Earth and to seek the best quality for your comfort and that of our teams. We therefore call on the services of local, French producers. This is the case, for example, with Merino bedding, made in France, which you will find in your bedroom. The furniture was designed by local carpenters and the lighting, by Sammode, is also made in France. Finally, the French company Fermob provides us with all our outdoor furniture such as that of the guinguette of the Eklo Bordeaux and the terrace of the Eklo Toulouse, among others.

A short journey to the plate

When it comes to environmental responsibility, if there is one place for which short supply chains are essential, it is the kitchen. To help our guests discover local produce and savoir-faire as well as in the best interests of the environment, we carefully select our suppliers from each hotel’s region. We are locavores at heart, so our sourcing allows us to create a network of artisans and producers who supply our tables throughout the year. Finally, in your cup of coffee and in your glass of beer, you will find the skills and experience of our local roasters and brewers.
